1. Introduction

OverSmart AI is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how data is processed within our app. We use a local-first, Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) architecture — no user account or registration is required to use our core AI tools.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Stored Locally on Your Device

  • API Keys: Stored using encrypted device storage (Android EncryptedSharedPreferences / iOS Keychain). Never sent to our servers.
  • AI Prompts & Generated Content: Saved locally in Hive database. We do not log or store your prompts on our servers.
  • App Settings: Preferences like selected AI provider, model, and UI configuration remain on your device.

2.2 Automatically Processed Data

  • Device Identifier (ANDROID_ID): Used solely to verify "Remove Ads" subscription entitlement across app reinstalls. Not shared with third parties.
  • Advertising Identifiers (Google AdMob): Collected for ad delivery for non-subscribers. Includes Google Advertising ID (GAID), IP address, and ad interaction data.
  • Purchase Verification Tokens: Processed via Google Play Billing. We do not store payment details.

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

  • No names, physical addresses, phone numbers, or passwords
  • No precise location data (GPS)
  • No personal photos, videos, contacts, or SMS
  • No financial or biometric information
  • No mandatory user account or login

3. How AI Providers Work (BYOK)

Your prompts are sent directly from your device to the AI provider you select (Google Gemini, OpenRouter, Groq, Hugging Face, Cerebras, SambaNova, Mistral, ElevenLabs, or Custom API). We do not intermediate, log, or monitor your AI interactions. Each provider has its own privacy policy.

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Google AdMob

For users without a Remove Ads subscription, Google AdMob serves ads and collects Google Advertising ID (GAID), IP address, device info, and ad interaction data. GDPR consent is managed via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) — a certified CMP. You can opt out of personalized ads anytime via app Settings.

4.2 Google Play Billing

Purchase verification tokens are processed via Google Play for the $19.99/month Remove Ads subscription. All payment security is handled by Google.

4.3 YouTube, Facebook & TikTok Tools

Our app uses the open-source youtube_explode_dart library to fetch public YouTube metadata. Facebook and TikTok tools generate content suggestions via your AI provider. No OAuth, no private account access, and no posting on your behalf.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

  • Local Data: Stays on your device until you clear app data or uninstall.
  • Ad Data: Managed by Google per their retention policies.
  • Delete Your Data: Go to Settings → Legal → Delete My Data, or clear app data from device settings, or simply uninstall the app.

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

OverSmart AI is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us immediately.

7. AI-Generated Content & Safety

  • All AI-generated outputs are labeled as "AI-generated" inside the app.
  • Automated filters prevent harmful content generation.
  • Report inappropriate outputs via email for investigation.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified via in-app release notes. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
